Where you stumble and fall,
there you find pure gold.

- Carl Jung

It can be easy to lose one’s way in life. But sometimes this can be the start of an inner journey that reveals hidden depths both in ourselves and the world.

About me

Practice address

My name is Johnathan Sunley and I am a psychotherapist practising in central London. Whether this is a journey you are just setting out on or one you have been making for a while, welcome to my website. I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist who has worked both in the NHS and the prison service. I am a registered and accredited member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I abide by the professional codes of conduct and ethics of these organizations. I hold a post-graduate diploma in psychodynamic psychotherapy from WPF Therapy and am currently doing further training with the Association of Jungian Analysts (AJA) in London.

Psychotherapy and my approach

People have psychotherapy for a wide range of reasons.

There may be a worry you can’t stop thinking about. Or a feeling of unhappiness that is equally persistent.

Perhaps it’s reached the point where you are turning more and more to addictions of one kind or another — food, social media, alcohol, porn, drugs — just to get through the day.

Sessions

Sessions are 50 minutes long and my standard fee is £90.

Sessions at a reduced rate are also available at a frequency of three times per week. This requires a commitment of two years. Let me know if you’d like more information about reduced or low cost analysis.

My practice is in central London, a few minutes walk from Oxford Circus.

I also offer clinical supervision to qualified psychotherapists and counsellors and to practitioners in related fields such as music or art therapy wanting to bring a depth psychology perspective to their work.
